OLAS McMaster is the only McMaster club created for, and representative of, all Latinx students.

OUR MISSION is to provide a space for Latinx students to celebrate their cultures and for students from other backgrounds to learn and enjoy themselves with us. OLAS McMaster will thus contribute to the McMaster University student community by providing representation for those of us who need it, spreading awareness and knowledge of our cultures, and creating a space of inclusivity, hospitality, and friendliness on campus.

 

OUR MAIN PURPOSE is to provide a place on campus where Latin American students can take part in their culture and see themselves identified and represented in McMaster. Our goal is to celebrate the diverse traditions, food, and music that McMaster’s Latinx students bring, as well as to expose students from other backgrounds to Latinx culture. We plan to do this by hosting fun and inviting events where people can come to learn and enjoy themselves.

NUESTRA MISIÓN es proporcionar un espacio para que los estudiantes latinos celebren sus culturas y para que los estudiantes de otros orígenes aprendan y se diviertan con nosotros. OLAS McMaster contribuirá así a la comunidad estudiantil de la Universidad McMaster al proporcionar representación para aquellos de nosotros que lo necesitamos, difundiendo la conciencia y el conocimiento de nuestras culturas, y creando un espacio de inclusión, hospitalidad y amistad en el campus.

NUESTRO PROPÓSITO PRINCIPAL es proporcionar un lugar en el campus donde los estudiantes latinoamericanos puedan participar en su cultura y verse identificados y representados en McMaster. Nuestro objetivo es celebrar las diversas tradiciones, comida y música que traen los estudiantes latinos de McMaster, así como exponer a los estudiantes de otros orígenes a la cultura latinx. Planeamos hacer esto organizando eventos divertidos y acogedores donde las personas puedan venir a aprender y divertirse.
